About Church Farm Weather
Church Farm Weather shows live readings from our weather station at Church Farm in Stanton St Bernard, a small village in the Vale of Pewsey, Wiltshire, beneath the chalk downs of Milk Hill and Walkers Hill.
The station
The station measures rainfall, air temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, ground temperature, wind speed and wind direction. Readings are sent over a LoRaWAN radio network to a ChirpStack server, which forwards each one to this website as soon as it arrives.
Older records
Automatic recording at Church Farm began on 2 November 2021. Rainfall from 31 May 2016 to the end of 2020 was measured by hand: the gauge was read once a day at 8am and the amount entered against the previous day's date, so those daily figures aren't directly comparable with the automatic readings.
Using the dashboard
- Each tile shows the latest reading and a small graph of the last 24 hours.
- Click or tap a tile to open its history, with averages, minimums and maximums.
- History ranges (last hour, week, month, year and year on year) become available as enough data is collected to fill them.
